HeraHera is an Alt-Rock, English, four-piece, formed in 2021 combining heavy electric synth melody and punchy vocals. Based out of Brighton on the South coast.

We had a great evening watching them perform at The Forum, Royal Tunbridge Wells during Upfest 2022 , but also had the opportunity to spend some time with the band members, (Den, George, Viv and Niamh), before the gig to capture some outdoor shots near the venue. Lighting during the performance was challenging to say the least and as you can see, from the images below. Sometimes you can take advantage of those lighting problems to create more artistically styled images during post-production. In order to add variety to the shots a whole host of post-production techniques were employed, ranging from a selection of colour-toning, monochrome conversion, posterization and even solarization (that's a lot of izations...) when the lighting became too extreme. For the photographers amongst you... in order to get sharp performance images, most were shot at ISO 6400 and an aperture range of 2.8 to 4.0. This reduces the depth of focus but kept image blur to a minimum.
